after a huge two week long set job we needed to get out of town.
sam booked us a yurt/fishing trip at cachuma lake.
it was perfect.
we were able to bring our three rug rat rescue dogs for cuddle sessions and endless entertainment.
we rented a small boat and spent 7 hours fishing, napping,
riding the choppy current
and taking in the beautiful landscape.
we caught a few- threw them back and then...
i caught a huge catfish!
i cannot tell you how exciting the fight was.
he was heavy and unruly.
just inches away from me finally getting him in the boat...
he snapped the line.
it would have been an honor to eat him.
grilled to perfection over the campfire on a cedar plank.
man, i would have felt like a real hero cooking it up for my man...
but the fish was clever.
respect.
oh so close! yea if I were you, I would be quite grumbly haha
