        my husband, sam and i have had a very busy work life.  we have been traveling from los angeles to new york city a lot.  we don't always work together.  the passed few jobs sam had brought him to new york.  my jobs were here in los angeles.  it can be a very enjoyable, creative and collaborative experience working with your life partner...but sometimes we need to get away from work and have silly, romantic, sexy, cuddly time. ha.
so we usually head to the hot desert.  one hotel we really love is the parker.  sam took these photos the minute we walked into our room.  we had such a lovely 3 days!
we lounged by the pool in the afternoon, did laps , ate spaghetti and meatballs in bed while watching the killing, thrifted, took walks, slept really late...  you know, everything you should do during a mini holiday.
one of the days i did end up working.  i got a booking as a model for a new handbag line. we shot at a cabin in joshua tree.  it was a long day but we had a great crew and beautiful weather.

it was so beautiful and cold, and yet so green and lush.
we stopped so much along the way.
we found many inviting areas to stop the car and frolick in.
we played here at the ranch for a bit.  
the colors and textures here make me nostagic for those lazy travel days with my love.

i have been distracted.  my husband and i have a business together.  we do prop styling and set design for still photo shoots.  it has been rather busy for us.  so busy that blogging has been left on the back burner.  i miss it. i miss this other world. my narcissistic dear diary in photos.  
these photos were from early fall. what season are we currently in?  late fall? week until official winter?  
nearly winter, i think- because of the holiday decor and the shopping. 
in photo shoot land we have moved on.  we are on to spring and summer. and in Los angeles weird weather world it feels a lot like spring or early fall.  i don't know...
i do know that i feel a road trip steadily approaching.  my sam and i vow to venture to the soggy, green northwest after all this craziness dies down. work and all.  
i'm not complaining!  i am so happy that our little business has blossomed.  
 i'm even more grateful to our team of assistants and crafters and artists that make everything possible.

             when it's hot and i have prop returns in the valley,
     i prefer to be as naked as possible.  this dress is my
     barely there dress.  it's thin, a bit see through and the 
     slightest breeze causes me to flash anyone in the vicinity.      
     the color is so pretty...
     i have been so into this lilac color that i went to LF and 
     bought a cropped knit and flimsy  bra in lilac.  
     obviously i'm holding onto summer as long as i can.
